Why is the speed limit on I-95 in Connecticut only 55 mph?
Most interstates have a speed limit of 65 mph. I-95 has only a 55 mph limit, at least from Greenwich to New Haven. I-91 from just past New Haven has a 65 mph limit. The traffic on I-95 moves about 70-75 mph in Connecticut. Why is the speed limit so low?
